China Practice

Zahn Law Group's China practice was ignited years ago when Bari began developing relationships across Greater China, while practicing at Shearman & Sterling, where she had the privilege of acting as cross-border tax counsel in many complex transactions with clients primarily in Shanghai and Beijing.

Over the past two decades, Bari has deepened her relationships with the Chinese community. While at Kaye Scholer, she represented the founder of a major Chinese-owned and operated real estate development company and owner of the largest Chinese law firm in New York City. In 2014, this cross-border Chinese law firm hired Bari as its first female Managing Partner.

When Bari formed Zahn Law Group, she already had a following in the Chinese community (both in the US and abroad). She bolstered her outbound gateway practice areas by helping to forge strategic alliances with top China law firms.

Today, Zahn Law Group handles inbound and outbound investments, assists overseas clients who wish to do business in the U.S. market and helps corporations and entrepreneurs with business structuring and corporate governance.

Here in the U.S., we serve the Chinese community with a wide range of legal needs. In a constantly changing industry landscape, we assist clients in navigating the international tax and corporate consequences of business transactions seamlessly through our collaborations with law firms and other business advisors.
